2004 – Awarded membership in the Vietnam Veterans of America.

2004 - Awarded membership in the AICPA's "Partnering for CPA Practice Success" (The AICPA Alliance for CPA Firms).

1999 – Awarded membership in the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Don Fitch CPA subscribes to the Societies "Code of Professional Conduct".

1998 – Better Business Bureau awarded a letter of congratulations for a complaint free year.  Don Fitch CPA adheres to the Better Business Bureau's "Promoting Honest Advertising" and to their "Code of Advertising".

1998 - As a Community Service, Don Fitch CPA established an America Online ("AOL") Chat Room called "Federal Tax Problems" under the category "Special Interests"  The profile for username "Don Fitch CPA and/or IRS ACE" is as follows: "This room is for those that need help with IRS Offers In Compromise and other problems with the IRS. Our intent is to provide a public service to the community, pointing the taxpayer down the right road. God Bless." - Don Fitch CPA.

1997 – Awarded from the Oregon State Board of Accountancy a  license to practice as a "Certified Public Accountant".   License is clear standing with no actions.  License is in inactive status as of June 30, 2000.

1996 - Website www.paylesstax.com established.

1994 - IRS Awarded Don Fitch CPA approval for Electronic Filing and is an authorized IRS e-file Provider.

1994 – Awarded membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Don Fitch CPA adheres to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants "Code of Professional Conduct".

1993 – Awarded from the California State Board of Accountancy the License to Practice as a Certified Public Accountant after working in public accounting for many years.  License is clear standing with no actions.  Don Fitch CPA adheres to the California State Board of Accountancy's "Code of Professional Conduct".

1993 - Established "Don Fitch Accountancy" a CPA firm specializing in Tax Returns for ALL 50 STATES, IRS Offers In Compromise, and various other IRS collection issues.

1993 – Awarded membership in the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Don Fitch CPA adheres to the California Societies of Certified Public Accountants "Code of Professional Conduct".

1985 - Attended Golden Gate University in their Masters in Taxation Program.

1983 - Graduation from California State University Sacramento with a "Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting)" degree and had been recognized on the Dean’s Honor List.
 

1979 – Awarded an Honorable Discharge from the United States Marine Corps.


1979 - Graduation from the "Veterans Move Up Program" at California State University, Sacramento with a 4.0 GPA.


1977 - Attended the University of Maryland.


1975 - Attended Chapman University.
 

1973 - Enlistment in the United States Marine Corps. Tour of duty included the final three years of the Vietnam conflict. Awards included meritorious promotion to Corporal (E4),  Sergeant (E5), and concluded with an Honorable Discharge.  Tour of Duty included the Marine Corp’s aircraft wing aboard several Aircraft Carriers in various squadrons including F-4 Phantom Fighters, A4 Attack Aircraft, AH-1J Cobra Attack Helicopters, AH-1G Cobra Attack Helicopters, UH-1E Huey Helicopters, UH-1N Huey Helicopters, CH-53 Helicopters, CH-46 Helicopters, and C-130’s.
 

1973 - Graduation from Sacramento Senior High School. During High School, Don was a captain of his Championship football team and was being actively recruited by many Universities including Sacramento State ("CSU, Sacramento").
